The world has become increasingly concerned about Global Warming.
Greenhouse gases and uncontrolled waste dumping are causing major negative effects on the environment.
The need to recycle materials rather than discard has also become a major issue.
Mackay Green Energy (MGE) have developed a full range of processes to recover all useful materials from Metropolitan Solid Waste and from a range of industrial waste.
As a group, these MGE capabilities extract and recycle all useful materials and generate power from the cellulose fibre residue which previously went in to landfills.
Synthetic Crude Oil Project - February 2012
MGE is going to create an oilfield that.......
- Has a gross production cost of $34 - 45 / barrel
- Never runs dry
- Produces a sweet crude for existing refiners
- Isupgraded to diesel using conventional refining equipment
M G E takes an existing / proven gas turbine running on expensive fossil fuels like natural gas, or kerosene and converts using its proprietary combustion and heat exchanger systems. Key feature of the technology are:
- The system runs on low cost renewable fuels.
- No gasification of biomass necessary.
- No high temperature filtration.
- Minimal fuel preparation – fuel only milled down to <10mm
- High ash content fuel (poses no problem (up to 30%)
- Only clean air passes through the turbine engine (no erosion giving 15+ year life)
- Ash in discharged as molten slag (inert and vitrified , perfect for waste disposal)
MGE has high yield energy crops that provide large amounts of cellulosic matter for fuel for the IFGT or the conversion into second generation biomass fuels.
The key technology which is propriety to MGE is the Indirectly Fired Gas Turbine. This device allows the utilization of low cost fuels such as waste products, garbage and biomass into electricity. This is done at very low cost and with dramatically reduced emissions.
