Mackay Waste to Energy (MWE) Systems
Treating Metropolitan Solid Waste and using the Refuse Derived Fiber to produce Renewable Electricity.

- Advanced Proven Technology to treat waste and produce power.

- Aerodynamic conditioner that cuts and shreds

- Household waste (MSW) is converted in combustible pellets or Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF).

- Ferrous and Non Ferrous metals, glass and grit fines are removed. These products may be sold.

- 300 tons per day of Household waste (MSW) produces 8MW of power.

 
Indirectly Fired Gas Turbine (IFGT)

M G E takes an existing / proven gas turbine running on expensive fossil fuels like natural gas, or kerosene and converts using its proprietary combustion and heat exchanger systems. Key feature of the technology are:

- The system runs on low cost renewable fuels.

- No gasification of biomass necessary.

- No high temperature filtration.

- Minimal fuel preparation – fuel only milled down to <10mm

- High ash content fuel (poses no problem (up to 30%)

- Only clean air passes through the turbine engine (no erosion giving 15+ year life)

- Ash in discharged as molten slag (inert and vitrified , perfect for waste disposal)

- 99% + complete combustion (immeasurable remaining combustibles)

- Flame temps of 1200 C- 1800 C (tuneable) achieved for noxious materials destruction

 
BANA GRASS FACTS:

- MGE owns the registered Bana Grass Hybrid of Pennisetum Purpureum and Pennisetum Americanum (NAPIER GRASS is the local subspecies)

- Planted like Sugar Cane and is a Perennial plant that does not need replanting after harvest

- Highly tolerant to drought and typhoons

- Yields up to 125 Tons per hectare per year dry

- 1MW Power generation requires 60 hectares of Bana Grass using IFGT Technology
